Accounting Coordinator

• Assist with the processing of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Perform the payroll function for full and part-time staff and faculty, as well as students and  prepare  required payroll reporting and tax liabilities in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank statements and internal accounts, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with financial reports and statements, ensuring timely and accurate submission to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with  company  policies, accounting principles, and federal/state regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation for all transactions.
• Collaborate with various departments to resolve accounting issues and provide support on financial matters.

• Associate's Degree in Accounting , Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a higher education or non-profit environment.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and the ability to learn new software concepts, Microsoft Excel, and other financial tools.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal controls.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with faculty, staff, and students.
