Job Summary
 Seeking a full-time legal assistant to join a local law firm. This role would start with an emphasis on reception and build into a full legal assistant role as training progressed. 
Duties
  • Greet clients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing inquiries to the appropriate attorney or other legal assistants.
  • Assist attorneys with legal drafting, document preparation, and case management tasks.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and interviews for attorneys, ensuring efficient time management.
  • Performing clerical duties such as data entry, scanning, and copying documents as needed.
  • Assist with billing and time tracking for cases and clients.
Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience in legal drafting and document preparation is a plus.
  • High attention to details and accuracy.
  • Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
