We, Sedona Staffing Muscatine as the employer, are recruiting for a
Manufacture Controller
position at a local manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day financial operations of a manufacturing plant, including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and bank deposits
- Preparing financial statements and reports, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Developing and maintaining financial policies and procedures
- Maintaining cash balance and approving invoices
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances with vendor and client statements.
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Ensure proper coding and classification of transactions.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and general ledger accounts. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
- Review and process employee expense and credit card reports, verifying receipts and adherence to company policies. Assist in tracking and analyzing expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate recording of payroll transactions, including salary payments, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, including sales tax and payroll tax filings.
- Collaborate with other departments such as finance, operations, and procurement to gather information, resolve issues, and support business objectives.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- At least 5-10 years of relevant accounting or financial analysis experience in a manufacturing setting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, as well as data mining and ERP systems.
- Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Diligence and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a challenging environment.
- Commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
