This is a permanent placement role with a competitive salary range of $80,000-$100,000/year, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Scheduling:
Develop and manage fabrication work schedules, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project completion.
- Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor the fabrication team to maximize efficiency and safety. Address concerns and provide guidance to support individual and team success.
- Process Improvement:
Evaluate and refine work processes to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
- Safety & Quality Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Conduct regular audits and inspections to mitigate risks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with engineering, purchasing, and project management teams to align fabrication efforts with project specifications and requirements.
- Equipment Maintenance:
Oversee maintenance and repair of all equipment and machinery to ensure operational reliability.
- Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage raw material and finished product inventories to support uninterrupted production.
- Employee Training & Development:
Provide training and growth opportunities for team members, addressing skill gaps and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in steel fabrication or a related field.
- Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proven supervisory experience with a track record of training, mentoring, and performance management.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control, workforce management, and steel fabrication processes.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety guidelines and safety management practices.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities.
- Proficiency in English required; Spanish proficiency is strongly preferred.
