We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team in Temple, Texas!
As a Collections Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining positive customer relationships while effectively managing and collecting outstanding debts. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction will be essential to succeed in this role.
 
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM and occasional Saturdays

Starting Pay: $22.00/hr 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Contact customers regarding overdue payments through various communication channels such as phone calls, emails, and letters.
  • Negotiate repayment plans and provide guidance on financial options to help customers meet their obligations.
  • Document all interactions and maintain accurate records of payment arrangements and conversations.
  • Identify and address discrepancies in accounts, resolve billing inquiries, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any customer disputes or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and manage the aging report, proactively taking actions to minimize delinquency rates.
  • Follow company policies and legal regulations pertaining to debt collection practices.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • 1 Year of recent Collections experience is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel is required
  • Stable Work History is required
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for documentation and communication.
  • Ability to handle sensitive customer situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance related to debt collection.
