Job Description/Responsibilities/Essential Functions
  • Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.  
  • Operate welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts according to blueprints and work order specifications.   
  • Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies using various measuring tools to ensure proper assembly.  
  • Assemble metal parts   and   products.
  • Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with   measure tools and templates   to ensure conformance with   required   specifications.
  • Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
This position requires repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, squatting, and kneeling for long hours.  
This position requires repetitious use of arms, hands, and wrists.  
  Must pass a criminal background and drug screen.   
 
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.    
  • A minimum of   1 year of   previous experience is required.
  • Have basic shop math skills and tape measure skills
  • Have proficiency in reading blueprints and welding symbols
  • Prefer candidate with strong attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to work well with others.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
