Company:    Sedona Staf fing in Temple ,  T exas is  hiring for a CNC Machinist to work in a large manufacturing company.    All of our services are free for prospective employees.    Our positions can be temporary, temporary to permanent or permanent positions depending on a particular customer’s need.

Hours of Work:        1 st  shift   M-Th   10 hour  days, some overtime required
 
 
 
DESCRIPTION  
CNC Machinist   programs, sets up, and operates   machines to fabricate high tolerance components from several types of materials. The M achinist uses shop safety practices, blueprints, measuring instruments, and offline/online programming  interfaces..   
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Safely operate Machines, hand tools, and accurately read measuring tool s in compliance with all company safety rules and practices
  • Read and Follow  blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and  machine  setup/programming requirements.
  • Measures, marks, and  scribes  dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
  • Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, materials, and programs on machines such as manual or CNC mills, lathes, saws, and drills.
  • Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
  • Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings.
  • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
  • Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
  • Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes and hoists as needed
  • Any other duties as assigned.
  • R equires repetitive  frequent  lifting up to 50 pounds  without assistance , bending, squatting ,  stooping,  kneeling , pushing and pulling  for long hours.    Requires carrying items up to 25 feet distance on frequent basis.   
  • Requires working in a non- climate controlled  work environment.   
 
Qualifications:
  • Willing to work overtime  when necessary . 
  • High School Diploma or GED required.   
  • P revious  CNC and manual machining experience required.
  • Prefer candidate with strong attention to detail, dependability , strong oral communication skills  and having the ability to work well with others.
