A local Northeast Iowa base company is seeking a Foundation Engineer who will be part of an engineering and design teams. As a Foundation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of foundation systems. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure that foundation designs are both safe and cost-effective, considering the specific site conditions of each project.
 
What you get to do:
  • Design and develop foundation plans for structures, ensuring they meet industry standards, local regulations, and project-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with geotechnical engineers, construction teams, and architects to ensure proper execution of foundation plans.
  • Perform structural analysis to ensure foundation stability and safety.
  • Provide on-site technical support during the foundation construction phase to address any issues or changes.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to verify foundation integrity and compliance with project specifications.
  • Prepare detailed reports, cost estimates, and project timelines.
  • Ensure that all foundation designs adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
 
What we’d like you to bring the table:
  • B.S. Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. 
  • Experience with foundation design software a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and foundation engineering best practices.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple activities/projects
  • Must have strong communication skills with an ability to effectively manage conflict
  • Experience with project scheduling and management of multiple projects
