Job Title:  Biohazard Cleaner
Location:   Waco, TX
Hours:  Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Saturdays as needed)
Pay Rate:  $15.00 - $20.00 per hour (DOE)

Job Summary:  We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Biohazard Cleaner to join our team. The primary responsibility of this position is to clean and sanitize environments impacted by traumatic events such as hoarding situations, death scenes, blood spills, and other biohazardous incidents. The ideal candidate will handle sensitive tasks with discretion, professionalism, and care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean, sanitize, and dispose of hazardous materials from affected sites (e.g., hoarding, trauma, and death scenes).
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for handling biohazard materials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to maintain professionalism during sensitive situations.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely and thorough completion of tasks.
  • Document work processes and report any concerns to the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to commute to/from client locations
  • Previous experience in cleaning or biohazard cleaning preferred but not required.
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
  • Must be able to work in environments with unpleasant odors and sights.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols strictly.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and exercise empathy when dealing with clients.
  • Availability to work Saturdays as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
 
Work Environment:
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous materials.
  • Must be comfortable working in various environments, including homes with hoarding conditions, trauma scenes, and unsanitary conditions.
