Diesel Technician (Service Technician)
Wage Range : $20 - $40/ hr , depending on qualifications
Location : Central Texas
Work Hours:  Monday-Friday 

Job Overview :
Sedona Staffing Services is  seeking  a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnostics, repair, and rebuild of automotive and industrial diesel engines, including Cummins Engines. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in the use of electronic testing equipment, and the ability to perform DOT inspections or undergo training for certification.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Troubleshoot complaints and perform comprehensive inspections, identifying worn or damaged parts.
  • Repair, rebuild, overhaul, assemble, and disassemble major assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components (e.g., power trains, electrical, fuel, brake, hydraulics, emissions).
  • Utilize electronic testing equipment proficiently to diagnose and repair issues.
  • Maintain and operate a full set of hand tools and a tool chest on casters.
  • Perform or undergo training for DOT inspections.
  • Participate in ongoing product training to enhance job skills.
  • Available for overtime and fieldwork assignments as required.
 
Qualifications :
  • Training/experience in diesel diagnostics, repair, and rebuild.
  • Service Training Certifications for Cummins Engines (preferred).
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid CDL within six months of hire.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Clean drug/substance abuse record; must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
