QUALITY TECHNICIAN
1ST SHIFT HOURS, 9am to 7pm Monday thru Thursday
WAGE: $20/HOUR
LOCATION: FARLEY/DYERSVILLE
Job Summary:
The Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements through testing, inspections, and analysis. This role involves working closely with production teams, engineers, and management to maintain product consistency and improve overall quality. The position requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Document and maintain accurate records of testing results, inspections, and other quality-related data.
- Identify and investigate any quality issues or defects in products or processes and work with teams to resolve them.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality control processes and systems.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality deviations or non-conformances.
- Work with production teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular audits of processes and systems to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support product testing for compliance with industry standards or regulations as required.
- Maintain calibration and servicing of testing equipment and instruments.
- Assist in training staff on quality-related procedures and processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as Engineering, Quality, or Science) preferred.
- Previous experience in a quality control or quality assurance role (experience outside the food industry is acceptable).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality control methodologies such as Six Sigma, ISO standards, or other relevant industry certifications.
- Familiarity with testing equipment and quality management systems (e.g., SPC, CAPA).
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with various teams effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
